Grey Bruce hockey hub vaccination clinic model finds success in New Zealand

An idea put together by the Grey Bruce Health Unit has found success internationally. The Grey Bruce Health Unit regularly hosts sharing sessions on what they call the Hockey Hub operation. It’s a mass vaccination model that was recently put to work in Auckland, New Zealand. More than 16,000 Kiwis were able to get the vaccine over a three-day span thanks to the Hockey Hub method....

Covid: Three New Cases, 14 Resolved In Grey Bruce

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported three new Covid cases (residents of Owen Sound, Grey Highlands and Southgate) and 14 resolved ones on Thursday. The region’s active known case load is down to 48. Four Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and one other is receiving care outside the area....

Blues Festival, Pumpkinfest among event receiving more provincial funding

A total of $50 Million is being distributed to 439 festivals and events across Ontario through the Reconnect Festival and Event Program.Port Elgin’s Pumpkinfest is getting $41,632, Lighthouse Blues Festival in Kincardine will be receiving $49,325, the Huron Waves Music Festival $42,500, and $27,685 is going to the Paisley Blues Festival – Summer Series of Live Music. In a news release, the one-time funding increase for festivals and events is more than double the annual funding provided to the sector in the past....
