Bruce County Receives Update on Krug Estate Decision 05/13/2022 Bruce County announced today that the Ontario Superior Court of Justice through Justice Lemon has determined that the County must pay Laura Robinson and the Southampton Cultural Heritage Conservancy a fixed amount of $140,000 for legal costs. The legal cost payment comes as a result of a January 31, 2022 ruling by Justice Lemon that Bruce County breached the restricted purpose of the charitable Bruce A. Krug Estate trust.... EPCOR Resumes Natural Gas Construction In Bruce County 05/13/2022 Construction is starting back up again to expand natural gas to more communities in Bruce County. EPCOR says it’s resuming work with its construction partner AECON to bring, safe, affordable, and reliable natural gas throughout the construction season. Walkerton BIA is now dissolved after difficulty in finding staff and board members 05/13/2022 The Walkerton Business Improvement Area is no more. Brockton Council voted to repeal the by-law establishing the BIA on Tuesday. Clerk Fiona Hamilton tells the Shoreline Classics that the reason for the dissolution of the Walkerton BIA is because of a lack of staff, including a manager, and an inability to fill the number of vacancies on the board....
