COVID-19: Nine New Cases Reported In Grey Bruce Sunday

Public Health reported nine new cases of COVID-19 in Grey Bruce Sunday: Three residents of Huron-Kinloss,...two in Blue Mountains, and one in Owen Sound, Southgate, Chatsworth and Arran-Elderslie....there are 66 active cases, including 17 variants... and 479 active high-risk contacts. Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra says in a statement, “It takes a tremendous amount of effort to manage this number of high risk contacts. This number will keep increasing, unless we limit, starting today, our unprotected encounters with all people outside of our own households.” Two confirmed cases are hospitalized in Grey and Bruce due to COVID-19 and two Grey Bruce residents hospitalized outside of the region.... 32, 134 total doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Grey and Bruce to date. About 5,850 vaccine doses are arriving weekly in the region....

Bruce Power to donate more disposable masks

Bruce Power is providing more than 100-thousand disposable masks to be donated throughout the community. The masks will be distributed through the United Way of Grey Bruce to 22 local food banks, Bruce and Grey County Housing, meal programs and other community support organizations....
