Summerfolk Accepts Submissions From Youth Performers For Annual Competition

The 2022 Youth Discoveries – The Road to Summerfolk competition is live and accepting online performances from youth. The competition launched April 1, and youth ages 14-22 are encouraged to send in their submissions. The performers selected, will get to perform at an in-person finale on May 28 at the Owen Sound Legion....

Saugeen Shores firefighters complete certification requirements ahead of mandatory legislation by Fire Marshall

Firefighters on the Saugeen Shores Fire Department are now certified by the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office. The Fire Marshall has proposed that all firefighter certification in Ontario be mandatory. This will see all firefighters be certified by the National Fire Protection Association before they are able to perform tasks at emergency responses....
