Local unemployment rate see another dip

The unemployment rate in the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula economic region continues to dip. The Four County Labour Market Planning Board released its job figures for the month of July...[which show} the unemployment rate in July was at 3.6 percent, a drop of 0.2 percent from June.... it is the lowest unemployment rate among economic regions in Ontario. The Provincial rate was at 8.9 percent, down 0.1 percentage point from the previous month....

Covid: Four New Cases, 13 Resolved In Grey Bruce

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported four new Covid cases and 13 resolved ones on Sunday. The region’s active known case load fell to 43. Five Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and three others are receiving care outside the area.... Today, there are pop-up vaccination clinics planned at the Hepworth Ball Diamond between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., as well as the Ayton Arena parking lot between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m....

Huron Perth Public Health setting up vaccination clinics for those who contracted Hepatitis A

Huron Perth Public Health are setting up vaccination clinics for those who may have contracted Hepatitis A. This is in response to an outbreak declared by the Public Health Agency of Canada on July 31st after packages of frozen mangoes were found contaminated... two confirmed cases were reported in Quebec, and one in Nova Scotia. No cases have been reported in Ontario but the recalled mangoes were distributed and sold here. Those who consumed the products in the last 14 days can receive a free Hepatitis vaccine at one of the clinics taking place Monday and Tuesday....

Saugeen Shores Council To Consider Traffic By-Law Changes

Saugeen Shores council is considering some changes to traffic and parking by-laws at its meeting tonight. The proposals are coming in response to all-way stop requests, speed limit modification requests, and the implementation of recommendations from the Transportation Master Plan. Some of the proposed changes include putting new all-way stops at Grosvenor Street and Morpeth Street, Green Street and Waterloo Street and others....
