50 Per Cent Of Grey Bruce Adults Have Received A Vaccine Dose

The Province says over 50 per cent of all adults in Grey Bruce have now received one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.... In its Sunday report of daily COVID-19 case counts, Public Health Grey Bruce said 9,330 COVID-19 were administered last week. The total reported Sunday was 69,673 doses in Grey Bruce to date. The Province has also said Group Two of those who can’t work from home can register starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday May 11th along with those who have at-risk health conditions....

Small number of new COVID-19 infections in the region

There were a total of 13 COVID-19 cases over the last three days (5 occured on Friday, 4 on Saturday, and 4 on Sunday). Three of the 13 were in Bruce County (1 each in Kincardine, Saugeen Shores, and Arran-Elderslie). 1,242 are now confirmed in Grey Bruce including 304 variants. 42 are active and 1,194 resolved. 9,330 vaccine doses have been administered in Grey Bruce this past week, 69,673 to date....

More Groups Become Eligible To Book COVID-19 Vaccines Today

More groups are becoming eligible today to book their COVID-19 vaccines on the province’s online booking portal.
They include Individuals 40 and older, individuals with at-risk health conditions including dementia, diabetes, liver disease, and asthma. and Group 2 of employees who “cannot work from home”....

Regional unemployment sees a slight drop in April

Unemployment in Stratford-to-Bruce-Peninsula economic region took a slight dip in April. According to the Four Market Labour Planning Board, unemployment for the month in the region was 6.1%...down a half-a-percentage point of 6.6 in March and down a full percentage point of 7.1 in February. The provincial unemployment rate was down to 8.7 percent....
