Four New COVID-19 Cases Reported In Grey Bruce Sunday

Four new cases of COVID-19 were reported by the Grey Bruce Health Unit Sunday, Residents of Southgate, Owen Sound, Blue Mountains and Saugeen Shores tested positive....there are 52 active known cases including 34 variants,... and there are 198 active high-risk contacts associated with the region’s cases. Three local people are hospitalized due to the virus and five people have been transferred from other health units to local ICUs....

Phase 3 of Major Road Construction Project In Port Elgin Begins This Week

Phase 3 of the Bruce Road 25 (CAW Road) and Bruce Road 33 construction in south Port Elgin is set to begin on Tuesday, May 25th.
... This capital infrastructure project will include the conversion of the rural road cross section to urban road standards and the installation of storm and sanitary sewers. The project also includes the construction of a trail, which will separate pedestrians and cyclists from vehicular traffic. Road closures will be in place for the majority of the construction project which could go until November of this year....

There’s a new radio station in Bruce County and it’s got attitude! Bayshore Broadcasting Director of Operations Ian Solecki says The Bruce (formerly 98theBeach)  is now a Classic and New Rock station featuring only the best songs of Rock and Roll from yesterday and today. Solecki says people have been asking for years for this kind of music.... Soon, The Bruce will be opening a repeater station in Tobermory as it truly becomes Bruce County’s only full-time radio station!...
