Canopy Growth To Acquire Supreme Cannabis For $435 Million

Canopy Growth Corporation has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire The Supreme Cannabis Company, which owns 7ACRES in Tiverton for $435 million. A release says the two companies have entered into a definitive arrangement agreement under which Canopy will acquire all of Supreme Cannabis’ issued and outstanding common shares. Canopy says this will give it a, “strengthened brand portfolio including one of Canada’s leading premium brands, 7ACRES.”...

COVID-19: Eight New Cases Reported In Grey Bruce Wednesday

Public Health Grey Bruce reported eight new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday: four residents of Blue Mountains and one each in Owen Sound, Kincardine, Chatsworth, and Grey Highlands....there are 56 known active cases in the region including 17 variants,... and 383 high-risk contacts associated with the region’s cases. Two people are hospitalized locally due to the virus and two local people are also hospitalized outside the region....32, 248 vaccines have been administered to date....

Health units expand age group for vaccine appointments

The Grey Bruce Health Unit and Huron Perth Public Health are expanding the vaccine eligibility for their residents. Grey Bruce residents 60 and older (born 1961 or earlier) can now book an appointment at their clinics while Huron Perth residents 65 and older (1956 or earlier) can do the same there. Vaccinations will continue for people who are deemed priority population....
