| Chesley Residents Visit Queen’s Park To Advocate For Hospital 05/18/2023 A group of Chesley residents and local representatives are visiting queen’s park today. The aim of their visit the Ontario Legislature to try to get a firm commitment from the Ford government to save their hospital emergency department and restore its services. In recent years, the Chesley Hospital has experienced repeated emergency department closures due to the staffing crisis. The visiting group includes the Chesley Hospital Community Support Group, Arran-Elderslie Deputy Mayor Jennifer Shaw, and the Executive Director of the Ontario Health Coalition Natalie Mehra.... | Wingham ER to see day closure & reduction in hours over the Long Weekend 05/18/2023 The Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance has announced that due to ongoing healthcare staff shortages the Wingham ER will be closed starting this afternoon, Thursday, May 18th at 5pm until Friday, May 19th at 7 am. Additionally, starting Saturday, May 20th the ER will only be open from 7 am until 3 pm on that day, Sunday, May 21st and Monday, May 22nd.
