Most Bruce County buildings closed for Remembrance Day

Bruce County is reminding residents that most of their services will be closed on Friday for Remembrance Day, as they encourage everyone to attend ceremonies at their local cenotaphs or legions. The Administration Centre in Walkerton, Lakeshore Hub in Port Elgin, Peninsula Hub in Wiarton, and the Penetangore Hub in Kincardine will be closed on Nov. 11. As will all branches of the Bruce County Public Library and the Museum and Cultural Centre....

Grey Bruce Home Prices, Sales Activity Slips Further In October

Home prices in Grey Bruce slipped further in October as sales activity on the market remains slow. The Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound says 166 homes sold, a sharp decline of 44.7 per cent from the same month last year.... Average home prices in Grey Bruce were just over $606,000, a year-over-year decline of 6.7 per cent. It’s also a drop of around 7.5 per cent from September, when the average price of homes sold in the region was around $655,000....

Chesley Emergency Department set to reopen Weekdays on Dec. 5th

The South Bruce Grey Health Centre announced that the Chesley Hospital Emergency Department is set to resume weekday service beginning Monday, December 5th. The department will be open weekdays from 7 am until 5pm and closed overnight and weekends....

New Kincardine Business aims to Offer Safe Space for Women

The Kincardine Business community welcomed a new business to the Downtown yesterday. KWE Beauty or KWE for short means woman in Ojibwe. Owner Stephanie Tschirhart, who is indigenous, says her business has been operating for the past 5 years out of her home in Point Clark but in efforts to scale she made the move to call Kincardine home....
