12 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Monday In Grey Bruce

Public Health Grey Bruce reported 12 new cases of COVID-19 Monday:...three residents of Kincardine, two in Owen Sound and one in Chatsworth, Hanover, Meaford, South Bruce, Southgate, The Blue Mountains, and West Grey....there are now 90 active known cases in the region including 28 variants...and 405 high-risk contacts associated with the region’s cases....Public Health says one person is hospitalized in Grey Bruce and one local person is hospitalized outside the region.... 6,380 vaccine doses have been received this week, and Public Health says 37,562 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Grey and Bruce to date....

New Bruce Power plan aims to partner with other organizations to offset carbon

Bruce Power has introduced a Carbon Offset Co-op to encourage the growth of Net Zero initiatives. The Tiverton based company plans to bring together both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities, along with business and agricultural organizations across southwestern Ontario to focus on removing and offsetting carbon from the atmosphere....

Local teachers union feel moving to online learning is the right move to keep students and teachers safe

Now that the Province will officially move schools to online learning after April break, there are many who are saying this was a long time coming. Days after the Ford government issued a shutdown and stay-at-home order, schools were one of a few institutions that remained open....
