Bruce County is accepting grant applications for its Community Grant program until June 1st. The grant is a way to support not-for-profits, registered charities, volunteer groups or an affiliate or community club in the area. There is both a short-form for requests of up to $5,000 and long-form for those over that amount....

BM Ross provides update on progress of Downtown Dig in Kincardine

The Downtown Dig in Kincardine has delved deep below the surface of Queen Street this week...."Currently they are working on the mainline sanitary sewer. That will continue for a few days this week. Then hopefully they might be starting on the water main toward the end of this week.” Next week workers will continue water main installation, as well as sanitary services on the east side of the street....

Southampton BIA holding Public Meeting on Plans for High Street Renewal May 20th

The Southampton BIA shared word of an upcoming Public Meeting on the Plan for the High Street Renewal on Saturday, May 20th. Residents will be able to review and discuss the concepts of the plan at Southampton Town Hall from 10 am until noon.... The renewal will see infrastructure such as hydro, sewer, asphalt and sidewalks renewed as well as pertinent cultural and art installations and overall beautification....
