Saugeen Shores council approves more funds for Lamont Sports Park

Saugeen Shores council approved additional funding to cover the construction of Lamont Sports Park’s Phase 2, which is projected to cost around $4.2 million. The second phase will include the construction of two ball diamonds, two washrooms, and an accessible playground. Nearly half of the construction costs have been met by the town’s fundraising committee, who have collected over $1.7 million in donations....

GBHS Requests $50K From Northern Bruce Peninsula For Lion’s Head X-Ray Replacement

Grey Bruce Health Services is requesting Northern Bruce Peninsula provide $50,000 to assist with a replacement of x-ray equipment at Lion’s Head Hospital. During a meeting on Dec. 12, council received a delegation from GBHS. It updated members of council about the x-ray replacement occurring at the hospital on Dec. 19. GBHS Manager of Medical Imaging and Cardiology Barb Harron says, x-ray services are a common diagnostic tool and act as the first line of defence....
