Covid-19: Two New Cases In Grey Bruce

Two new Covid cases and four recoveries were reported by the Grey Bruce Health Unit on Monday. According to Public Health, residents of Southgate and Kincardine tested positive. The active known case load in the region is now 16. One person is currently hospitalized. No change in vaccination progress: 15,098 doses have been administered in the region to date....

Local realtors association reports record home sales in February

The sizzling local housing numbers have not cooled off over the winter.... The Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound set a sales record for the month of February. A total of 223 units sold in February, up 12.1 per cent from a year ago.... in February 2021, the average price of homes sold rose by 54.3% year-over-year to a record $613,373....

Virtual public meeting on Kincardine Heritage Conservation District Plan

A public information meeting is to be held March 22 at 7 pm to present a summary of the Heritage Conservation District Plan for Kincardine. Prepared by Stantec Consulting and a+LiNK Architecture, the goal of the plan is to provide policies and guidelines to manage change by designating the area under the Ontario Heritage Act.... The plan outlines how alterations, additions, and new construction should occur in the area....

Kincardine Queen Street Promenade Returning This Summer

After survey results on the 2020 event were favourable overall, the Queen Street Promenade in Kincardine is coming back this summer. The concept calls for Queen Street to be closed to traffic from Durham Market Street North to Durham Street in the south, which is an extenstion from last summer when the closure extended to Lambton Street. The closure will be each weekend, beginning June 25 closing from Friday at 5pm to Sunday at 9pm....
