Covid-19: One New Case Reported In Grey Bruce On Tuesday

One new Covid case was reported by the Grey Bruce Health Unit on Tuesday. According to Public Health, an Owen Sound resident tested positive. There are now 41 active known cases in the region. Four people are currently hospitalized. On vaccination progress: 19,088 doses have been administered in the region to date....

COVID-19: Seven New Cases Reported In Grey Bruce Monday

Public Health reported seven new cases of COVID-19 in Grey Bruce Monday. Two residents of Blue Mountains tested positive as well as two in Owen Sound, two in South Bruce Peninsula and one in South Bruce. With four resolved cases and eight referrals from other health units, there are 40 active cases in the region and seven active variants. Three people are hospitalized due to the virus. Over the course of the pandemic, there have been two deaths linked to COVID-19 locally. 18,871 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Grey and Bruce to date.

Grey Bruce residents can't book vaccine appointments as problems with online portal continue to persist. Residents in Grey Bruce continue to experience problems making COVID vaccine appointments using the Province’s online booking portal. For the second straight week, there were glitches to the portal which prevented people from setting up appointments to receive the vaccine. The Grey Bruce Health Unit says they were made aware of the problem on Monday and continue to work with the Province to resolve the issues...

Another death in Grey Bruce being blamed on opioid overdose

There has been a third fatal opioid overdose in Grey Bruce in the last week. Parents are being asked to speak with their children and those who use street drugs are being reminded to be as safe as possible. The Grey-Bruce Health Unit says this is part of an ongoing trend, involving 8 deaths over the last year....
