Few COVID cases reported in Bruce and Huron

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 9 new cases over the weekend (2 on Saturday, 4 on Sunday, and 3 on Monday). Only two of the cases were in Bruce County (1 in Kincardine, and 1 in South Bruce Peninsula), 38 are active, 1,291 resolved, and 3 are currently in hospital... In Huron Perth, there were 6 new cases reported on Saturday with just one in Huron County (South Huron)....

Bruce Power donating gift cards to frontline workers and those in desperate situations

Bruce Power has made a pair of donations of gift cards. First, over 4500 gift cards worth a total of $40,000 is being donated to employees at grocery stores, hospitals, medical clinics and daycares. The Tiverton based company say they want to show their appreciation for those people who stepped up during the pandemic....

Kincardine Receives Update About Off-Road Vehicles

We’re likely to see more off-road vehicles about as the nicer weather settles in. At a recent Kincardine Committee of the Whole meeting, OPP presented the latest information of off road vehicles (ORV) and Sgt. Gord Keen says as of right now, all off-road vehicles are allowed on Kincardine municipal roadways, unless council enacts a bylaw to prohibit them....

Fundraising Initiative Benefits Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation

The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation has 70-more GEM people in its fold. GEM stands for Give Every Month to the Foundation through automatic withdrawals. The idea was to give a little that would add up at the end of the year to be a lot. This year’s Spring campaign received an incentive boost thanks to the donation matching partners, Bruce Power and the Sandhu Family of Port Elgin....
