South Bruce OPP Say Residents Lost Over $500,000 In Recent Scams

South Bruce OPP are sending out a fraud warning after Southern Bruce County residents were scammed out of a significant amount of money. OPP say, combined losses from the “Bitcoin” scam and the “Romance” scam, in South Bruce have amounted to combined losses of over $500,000 within the past six weeks....

Applications open for Kincardine’s Community Investment Grants

The Municipality of Kincardine has opened the application window for another round of Community Investment Grants (CIG).... The program provides funding to local, non-profit organizations focused on having a positive impact on the quality of life in the community. The funds are applicable to any project that fits in four specific streams: Arts, Culture, and Heritage; Sports and Recreation; Social, Health, and Environment; and Tourism....

Bruce Museum hosting conversation with Canada’s Top War Historian Nov. 9th

The Bruce Museum announced today that in honour of Remembrance Week, the Museum & Cultural Centre will host an afternoon in conversation with Canada’s top war historian and author Tim Cook next Wednesday, November 9th. The talk is presented by local historian Matt Johnson and will be live streamed exclusively within the Museum’s Bruce Power Theatre from 2 to 4 pm....
