Twelve New Cases Of COVID-19 Reported In Grey Bruce Tuesday

Public Health Grey Bruce reported 12 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday:...three residents of Blue Mountains,... two in Huron-Kinloss, two in Southgate, and one in Grey Highlands, Meaford, Northern Bruce Peninsula, Owen Sound and Saugeen Shores... there are 90 active known cases including 22 variants... and 497 high-risk contacts associated with those cases. One person is hospitalized due to the virus in Grey Bruce and one local person is hospitalized outside the region....37,742 total doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in Grey and Bruce todate...

Council gives preliminary approval to have cameras installed along rail trail

Surveillance cameras are going to be installed along the Saugeen Rail Trail. Saugeen Shores Council approved a motion to amend the Town’s current video surveillance policy to facilitate the request at Monday’s Committee of the Whole meeting. Mayor Luke Charbonneau says there were some acts of vandalism that occurred that warranted this move....

Huron Perth Public Health seeing more eligible groups but limited vaccine supply

Huron Perth Public Health is adjusting vaccine appointments based on supply of vaccines. Currently no clinics are open to book appointments; additional clinics will be added when further vaccine supplies are delivered..., only people 65 and older are eligible at this time. Educational workers who support students with complex needs are eligible for vaccines but there is no availability in clinics until the first week of May....
