Covid: Active Cases Steady In Grey Bruce As Health Unit Confirms Seven New Positives

Grey Bruce’s active Covid case load was unchanged Wednesday as the health unit reported seven new positives, and seven cases now resolved. According to Public Health, two people from Kincardine, two from West Grey, two from Southgate and a South Bruce Peninsula resident tested positive. The region’s active known case load remains at 54. Three Grey Bruce residents are currently hospitalized....

Quebec testing firm opens office in Kincardine

Another Bruce Power supplier has opened an office in Kincardine. Nucleom, a Quebec-based company specializing in non-destructive testing and evaluation, will employ 40 people who will be taking part in Bruce Power’s Major Component Replacement Project. The office is located on Mahood Johnston Drive next to the Kincardine Fire Station....

Bruce Power to offer scholarships to those taking up a trade at post-secondary school

$100,000 is available for students headed to post secondary school. Bruce Power is accepting applications for their annual scholarship program. Students from Bruce, Grey and Huron Counties are eligible to apply. Bruce Power will award $500 to 100 students pursuing post secondary education in a trade industry....

County showing appreciation for child care workers

The County of Huron are thanking the work of local child care providers. In a statement, the County says there are 145 full-time child care providers supporting over 1000 families in Huron County. They say child care providers had to pivot through the pandemic and their work made lasting and positive impacts on the lives of children and their families....
