It’s Canada Road Safety Week and OPP are reminding drivers to be put a heavy focus on road safety. OPP say it was a historically tragic year in 2023 with 411 people killed in collisions becoming the first time since 2007 more than 400 people died on the roads....

Northern Bruce Peninsula Not Supportive Of Proposed Cell Tower

Northern Bruce Peninsula is not on board with a proposed cell tower. Council approved taking the stance of non-concurrence for the proposed cell tower at 75 Lindsay Road 40 during a meeting on May 13. While the final decision to install the tower is up to Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) Canada, council can still say if it agrees with the project....

Alice Munro Dead at 92

Wingham native, short story writer and Nobel prize winner Alice Munro has passed away at the age of 92. Munro is most known for her everyday life examination through short story fiction who was well acclaimed for her stories which dove into darkness and desires found in ordinary existence. Her work eventually landed her the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2013....
